And We're Back

Whoa....that was a long blogging break.

For the past week, I've been doing a whole lotta nothin'. It's been FANTASTIC! Between Geoff's work at Elevation and our work with photography, the fall was beyond busy. Having this time off where we could just do nothing together was an incredible blessing.

Since we spent last Christmas in California with my family, we had planned to head up to Chicago for this year with Geoff's parents. However, plans changed once we found out Elevation was going to put on a Christmas Eve service (actually, 3 services) and that Geoff would be working. Instead of flying out afterward, we decided that we would just stay in Charlotte and have our first Christmas with just the two of us. :)

Christmas Eve at Elevation was off the hook. It was NOT your average church service - first of all, the venue was uptown at Belk Theatre, which was amazing. By the end of the night, over 6,000 people had come through the doors - seriously, looking up at the balconies was overwhelming. Secondly, the worship was phenomenal...whenever Wade, Chris, and Mack get together on stage, things get crazy. And finally, our Pastor rocked it out with his message - but that's nothing new. :)))

I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to shoot this event alongside Sean Lyon and Katie Holcomb. To see view our full galleries, go HERE.

HEY NOW! Who's this hot guy?!

Seriously, my husband was SUCH a hottie for a version of "the little drummer boy". It was hard to focus and take pictures, as all I wanted to do was stare at him.
