Lauren and Seth

On July 20th, 2007 in the Isle of Palms, South Carolina (near Charleston), my girl Lauren and her man, Seth, got married! Even with a huge weather glitch, it was beautiful....I am so grateful to have been there to see it.

First, I have to thank Lauren and Roz for letting me come down there to document the day - I truly had fun running around amidst the craziness and capturing the events as they happened. Also, a shout out is needed for the wonderful, fabulous, and ridiculously talented - BAILEY HOOD (future pro photographer and little brother to Lauren). He and I tag-teamed photographing that day...hopefully we will get to again sometime soon! Check out some of his work HERE.

A recap of the Furr Wedding Day....

We started at her parents condo where she was getting ready. Between dodging her hateful dog - Birdie - I got some really fun shots. AND, not only was I photographer for the day, but also her hair stylist. Okay, not completely, but she did make me put the rollers in her hair, which was high pressure in itself.

After shooting Lauren, I went on over to the ceremony and reception site to get some shots of Seth. He looked great! What a catch, Lauren! :)

And then, literally five minutes before Lauren was supposed to arrive in her golf cart and the ceremony was to begin, the down pour started. Now, I'm from California and have never been in a hurricane. But, of what I picture of hurricanes, this was it! It was ridiculous...everyone was just walking around nervously laughing and praying for it to pass quickly.

It quit finally....she came flying up on her golf cart, dad Marty walked her down the aisle, and they proceeded with an incredibly touching and God-filled ceremony. It was amazing to watch the two of them look into each other's eyes and commit to each other in marriage. Of course, because it was Lauren's wedding, there were some very funny moments - her brother Alex's cell phone went off in the middle of the ceremony and then Lauren put Seth's ring on the wrong hand. It was endearing.

Finally, I need to mention how stunning Lauren looked on her wedding day. I know it sounds cheesy, but she had this beautiful GLOW about her the entire day...she was just SO HAPPY and it came through in every photo I took of her. I seriously have a TON of her and had the worst time picking a few out for the blog.

THIS is typical Lauren....

Congratulations Seth and Lauren!
I love you both and can't wait to watch your marriage unfold.

Now, move to Charlotte, okay? :)

Tiffany and Scott - July 14, 2007

And here they are - the final set of pictures from the Taylor Weekend Extravaganza!

Never have I seen Tiffany look so beautiful. I know that pretty much every bride is beautiful on her wedding day, but boy - Tiffany looked stunning.

Since I was in the wedding, I don't have any shots of the ceremony, but busted out the camera at the reception, which was held at the Younts Center at Furman University.

Tiffany and Scott - thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day. I love you both and wish you the best for your future together. I know that your marriage will be blessed because God is all up in it!

No words for this next shot -
seriously.....who IS this crazy person?

CONGRATULATIONS MR. and MRS. TAYLOR!!!

Bridesmaids at Brick Street

As promised, here are the pictures from Tiffany's Bridesmaid Luncheon the morning of her wedding day. It was held at THE CUTEST restaurant - Brick Street Cafe in Greenville, SC.

The lunch was complete with Mimosas and the cafe's famous "Love Muffins," which are big, fat, and jelly-filled. Yum.

Not only was the cake was phenomenal in taste, but it was filled with charms that each bridesmaid got to pull out.

Tiffany was calm and collected....not to mention that she looked fabulous (P.S. - I loved her dress and want it for my own).

Here's me with Tiff - first picture with my new haircut since I chopped it!

The Taylor's Rehearsal Dinner

Tiff and Scott's Rehearsal Dinner was GREAT. It was held at the Green Valley Country Club (hence the photo above) in Greenville, South Carolina, which had plenty of cool features for me to photograph!

Um, yeah...love this shot of Tiffany. She's so cute!

This little girl was CRACKING ME UP with this toothpick.

What we thought would be a nice, quiet moment during the prayer for dinner turned out to be quite funny. Right as the prayer started, so did the upbeat background music at the restaurant. We all couldn't help from laughing.

This next sequence of shots is of Tiffany and Scott revealing their wedding gifts to one another.

Scott had kept the honeymoon destination secret from Tiffany throughout the engagement - the running joke was that they were going to Alaska. She couldn't WAIT to find out where they would be heading to after the wedding! He prepared a photo book full of pictures of.....

ITALY!

They are currently tracking around this fabulous European country - which I've never been to....hint hint, husband of mine. :)

So yeah, here is Scott revealing the secret. I love the expressions on Tiffany's face. Makes me smile.

Who would have thought one could have topped a gift to go to Italy?! Tiffany managed to do so. She gave him an old Mustang that he can fix up (which apparently he likes to do!). Here are the pics of her giving him a miniature version of the car.

Again, expressions on their faces are simply priceless.

Here is the first of the three cakes we ate over the course of the weekend. And let me tell you - they were all made by the same lady and they were all FABULOUS!

Seriously, it was some good cake-eating.

Bridesmaid Luncheon images coming up next! Check back soon!
