The Lesher Family

You might remember Abbey and Todd from last spring when we shot their maternity session. And now here he is - Baby Allen. Since our shoot a couple of weeks ago I have decided that I'd like to have a baby just like Allen. Seriously....he is SO good and just so dang happy. He LOVED Geoff.....75% of the time Allen was staring at him and smiling.

So....God - if you could just arrange that we have an Allen baby when the time comes, that would be awesome. :)

This one cracks me up - I love it.

Introducing....No Holds Bridal

It's official! We're now offering these fun sessions for brides after their wedding day...we're calling them "No Holds Bridal" meaning there are no rules, no restraints, no limits to what we can create - the sky is the limit (similar to the popular trend "Trash the Dress"). I really do enjoy shooting bridal portraits, but find that we are often held back in the shoot for fear of getting the dress dirty. "No Holds Bridal" sessions are the perfect solution. So, if you're wanting to put that dress back on and get glamorized for a day, shoot me an email to schedule a session for the spring - cheyenne@cheyenneschultz.com

Tiffany was actually married in July 2007 and has been looking forward to our shoot for some time now. We definitely lucked out on weather before it got too cold! Hair and makeup done by the awesome Kymm from Who's the Fairest. If you are getting married and don't yet have someone to beautify you on your wedding day, you should book Kymm ASAP!

After Tiffany's session, we pulled her husband Scott in for a mini "Mr. and Mrs. session (day-after session). Don't they look totally hot?

I love how he's checking her out here. :)

Sneak Peeks + Ring Drama

"Uhhhh......Cheyenne....."

Whenever I hear Geoff say this to me, I know what he's about to say next isn't good.

This past Friday evening as we got out of the car to continue shooting Russ and Kristy's engagement pictures, this is what I heard. After sending Russ and Kristy up to the field we were shooting, I headed back to where Geoff was. He didn't say anything else - he just held up his left hand revealing his naked ring finger. Yup - his wedding ring was gone.

The situation was no stranger to us....last March was the first incident, but that ended up favorably by finding the ring in our front yard. This time is different. This time the ring is lost in a big field in Davidson. A field that we found to have been plowed when we went back the next morning to look for it. How convenient. :/

All ring drama aside, I had SUCH fun with Kristy and Russ and at first glance of the images, I am LOVING the way the session turned out. I've been dying to shoot in a huge field like the one's we did for some time now. So here's a shot of the field that I now have a love-hate relationship with.....the field with PERFECT light, but that swallowed up the ring that I wanted my husband to wear on his finger until we were old and gray. (Sigh)

On Saturday we shot a big ole' family session......

.........and got to shoot a family mini session with this cutie.

As for the ring - we're thinking about renting/buying/borrowing a metal detector and having a go with it on the field for one last attempt - any one out there have one they'd like to lend us? :)

Have a great week everyone!

Brooke and Matt: Engaged!

Since shooting in Midwood for the first time a few weeks ago with Sharazad, I just had to get back there to shoot an engagement session. I thought it was perfect for Brooke and Matt's shoot, who are getting married this May at the Dairy Barn.

LOVE it.

An on accident shot - yet, there's still something about it I love.

And check it.....Geoff shot this through the window...ummmmm......he's brilliant and love his spin our shoots.

As we were shooting these, I stopped and said to Brooke, "i'm sorry....but your eyes are crazy." Aren't they gorgeous?!

Thanks, guys - see you soon!

Megan and Joel: Engaged!

Seriously? I could have shot Megan and Joel all day long - aren't they totally hot?!

They are actually getting married in Texas next fall, but wanted their engagement pictures in Charlotte. We chose to shoot in NoDa for it's bright colors and eccentric surroundings. I LOVE to shoot in NoDa.

Megan....this is seriously fierce.

My favorite.

Thanks, guys! I had fun!
