Lauren and Jon: Engaged!

In past blog posts I have talked about my summer in Savannah, Georgia - THE summer in Savannah, Georgia. The one where I met Geoff. For more the majority of the summer, he and I had no romantic interest in one another. In fact, I can remember the multiple times that Geoff and our friend Jon would plop themselves down in my office and complain about women and how they were never going to get married.

We all know how it turned out with Geoff......and for Jon....well, his day is soon approaching.

I'll never forget a phone call I got from Jon one evening last March. On the other end of the phone he said, "I did something crazy......". That's all he had to say for me to know exactly what he was talking about....he had bought an engagement ring for his girlfriend, Lauren. I basically went nuts with excitement after that.

For their engagement session, it seemed only appropriate that the four of us skipped town with our other friends David and Lara to head to Savannah for the shoot. I've deemed Savannah THE BEST place to shoot - seriously, every corner you turn there is something beautiful or unique. We could've done the whole thing on one block if we had wanted.

For the most part we just walked around the historic district capturing the charm that is Savannah. However, our first stop was at this totally wrecked building with overgrown vines and no roof. Geoff and I were in heaven!

I love everything about this shot. I know it's a little different than the stuff I typically post, but I just love the moment of it...just the two of them.....no one else.

This is SO them.

For sunset we headed across the bridge to the firework stand!
