David and Lara were married on July 19th up in Fairfax, Virginia. Geoff and I had THE BEST time spending the day with these two and their families.
Jon, Lauren, Geoff and I road-tripped it up there the day before the wedding, so we made it in time to go to the dessert reception that David's mom organized that evening after the rehearsal dinner. Again, SUCH a great idea to have this if you can, as it gives the bride and groom more time with all of their guests (especially the out of town guests). The wedding day is so hectic, you are lucky if you get more than a couple minutes with your friends and family!
The morning of the wedding, I hitched a ride with David's mom to the salon where the girls were to get hair and makeup done. It was a BEAUTIFUL day.

Meanwhile, Geoff went with all of the guys to the Cheesecake Factory (oh Cheesecake Factory - I love you so) for a little lunch.
And soon, it was time for them to get ready.

Back at Lara's parents house, Lara and her dad practiced their dance together. Love this shot - so sweet.
This shot was taken on a the seat of a wooden chair I spotted in the living room - I soon found out that it was a very special chair. I hear Lara's mom exclaim for the other room, "Lara! Look! She's using grandma's chair for the picture!". It was ADORABLE.

Soon, it was 4:30pm. As I watched David watch Lara come down the aisle, I lost it. Lucky for me, I still managed to shoot even though I couldn't see past the tears. I LOVED this moment.
And a bubble send off to head to the reception!
Next two shots were taken in a parking garage - and look how hot they are!

Coolest cake shot ever.
There was PLENTY of dancing going on at their reception. The best part was watching everyone switch off wearing these glasses while they danced in the middle of the circle.
"Whhhoooooooaaaaa.....we're half way there! WHOA....OH! Livin' on a prayer!" (david, geoff and jon....just a bunch of crazy SCAD kids).

lots of beautiful kissin' going on...Congrats to David and Lara. I think they make a beautiful photogenic ( is that how you spell it? )couple. The guys look so much more serious at the cheesecake factory than the girls at the salon. LOL I love the shades! Dad and Lara....your right...so precious...

Seriously, I told Matt I wanted to get married again so you could shoot our wedding. Your shots are always so amazing. At least we get to have you shoot beautiful pics of our babes. Thanks for those and the awesome presentation. You are destined to be successful.
