Help Find Frank a Good Home!

So, here's the deal. Last night on our way home from an engagement session in NoDa, we spotted a stray dog running around near Davidson Street and I-277. Geoff and I will always try our best to catch a stray we see running around, but have never been successful in actually catching a dog. Last night, however, we were able to get ahold of him and put him in the back of our car.

From there, we took him to our vet to see if he was micro-chipped...no dice. Our options on a Sunday night were few and far between -we didn't want to hand him over to Animal Control, so we decided to have him vaccinated, board him for the night at the vet and then try to get him hooked up with a no-kill shelter/rescue group today. So far, we haven't had any luck. Project Halo seemed like our best bet, but they are already full. Now, I'm getting desperate for him and want for him to find a safe place to stay temporarily until he can be adopted or find him a permanent home now.

We've been calling him Frank (as in, Frank the Tank). Frank is the SWEETEST boy - he smiles a lot and sits and lays down when you prompt him to. The vet gave him a physical last night - they said he seems to be in good physical health - weighing in at 62 pounds.

If anyone is interested in him, please email me at Cheyenne.Schultz@gmail.com - if we don't already know you, we'll ask that references are provided. Thanks so much!

Cheyenne, let me know if you don't find anyone to take him. I don't want a second one right now, but I'm sure Molly would love a temporary play-friend. :-)

I have passed your information over to my cousin Lori who lives in Charlotte and is an animal rights activist. She specializes in placing strays in homes and rescuing them from kill-shelters. I'll let you know what she says!

First and foremost luck finding him a home.He looks exactly like our dog who is a boxer/border collie mix.I know doesnt resemble either but after researching them after not believing it, found plenty on the web. Please make sure whoever you place him with has plenty of running room.Ours jumps like a deer and runs like a greyhound.

I hope he finds a good home. I would foster him if I weren't all the way in FL. My hubby and I tend to save strays too. He looks like a great companion, best of luck!

I will foster him!!! And if he gets along with my dog and my one year old daughter, maybe we'll keep him!!

Frank the tank belongs to someone....there are children hoping to find him somewhere. put it on the twitter or facebook. I think we found a good opportunity for a web site...lost dogs, dogs that need a home, etc....Maybe a farm?...put him in an email and circulate...
I am not ready for a third grandpup ...I am too young.

Hi Cheyenne,
If you offer some free photo shoots for the animals for one of the rescues in exchange for a new home for Frank, I'm sure they'll find room very quickly :) Plus, your photos could lead to Frank and other animals finding homes as well. Good luck.
