Emily and Michael - Engaged - Charlotte Wedding Photographer

Yes, it was a dreary, misty evening...but that surely didn't stop us from meeting Emily and Michael for their engagement session on the first day of November. I know I say this every time, but really, we are BEYOND excited to shoot their Wilmington wedding next May. Emily is as sweet as they come and Michael is pretty much a total crack-up. Plus, with planner Alyse Woodward behind the whole thing, I know it will be fabulous.

Being the day after Halloween, and having our two un-carved pumpkins still, we decided it was fitting to incorporate for a few shots....hence the above shot. :)

Emily brought out her umbrella to shield them from the mist.....and conveniently, it matched her outfit perfectly. :)

Completely adorable, right?

I don't know what it is about this shot, but I 100% LOVE it and will be putting it up in my home. Oh yes, I will.

A fave, fave, FAVORITE.

And THIS, my friends, is going on my website....when I update it. :)

At the tail end of our time in the street (when Emily and Michael were total champions for not looking like the freezing cold that they were), we had a elderly resident from an above condo serenade them with his trumpet...the perfect ending for our session. :)

They're all fabulous, but I'd hang that street shot in my home for sure :) Absolutely beautiful.

These are AMAZING!! I love them all, but my favorite shot is them on the stairs with the tilt shift style. :)

Wow! The rain really worked in your favor - it added such a dreamy and autumn-ey feel to these. Love them! The last one is my favorite.

so you are doing more and more and more tilt shift (i think that's what i've seen them called) photos these days. they are of course very cool. i think you learned how to do that just after our wedding... we have none, then BAM! is that done in editing? if not does it require a certain camera or lens?
just curious.
love you as always.
can NOT wait to see trinette's bridals and rebecca and thomas' engagement photos!!!!!!!

thanks everyone. :)

kristy - it is done in photoshop, but it is to mirror what a tilt-shift lens would do. :)

i seriously love this session. the first few shots are really awesome, and the umbrella shot in front of the gantt center is great. just curious what lens you are using?

thanks, rebecca. is the gantt center the building with the cool lines? if so, i was probably using my 70-200

rebecca said...
