Kristy and Russ: "Day After Session"

On any given wedding day, it is rare that we have more than 20 minutes to shoot pictures of the bride and groom. In fact, a lot of the time we have far less than that even. It's actually very stressful to "work the magic" when we know we have mere minutes to shoot. And usually, the couple is anxious to get to the reception anyway. So what's the answer? Well, there's a couple options in my humble opinion. A - See each other before the ceremony for a "first look" with pictures to follow. B - Restrict the number of family pictures after the ceremony.....cut down the list to only what is absolutely essential. C - Have a "day after" session - whether it's literally the day after the wedding, a month after, a year after......or in the case of Kristy and Russ.....right after the reception ended.

After the reception was over, we still had plenty of daylight and the gorgeous grounds of Graylyn to take advantage of....so we did. Instead of frantically cramming in a few minutes of pictures after the ceremony, we took close to a full hour to walk around Graylyn shooting.

Wow! What a great location and what great shots! You are amazing. I love the one where she's leaping into his arms and her gowns all blurry. :)

This bride is outstanding. I fell in love with her starting with the bridal shoot you did in the theatre. Her gown is incredible and their wedding and day-after pictures have an amazing magical, fairy-tale feel in a time-gone-by sort of way.

Five stars with this couple!
