A Hard Night.

Last night wasn't the easiest of nights.

We had just finished our Papa John's pizza for dinner and were sitting down to begin work on a photography project when we realized what Ellen had done - she had gotten ahold of 3 ibuprofen pills and had eaten them. And so began a long night of tears at the emergency vet hospital.

The doctor told us that because Ellen still had dinner in her stomach when she ate them and that they were able to get the pills out quick enough, she has it in her favor to be okay. However, they need to keep her in the hospital for three days to flush her out with fluids.

All day yesterday Ellen was driving me out of my mind as I was trying to get work done - barking in her high pitched bark at EVERYTHING under the sun. Today I'd give anything to have her here irritating me. If you pray, we'd sure appreciate you throw a quick one in today for Ellen's speedy recovery.

Here's a few pics of her we took about a month ago. I love these one's of her that show her ears flat back against her head.

Cheyenne this breaks my heart! I don't even think I know where the emergency vet is? How do you find one when you need one? I caught Kiki with an Advil in her mouth about a month ago... but thankfully we got it before she swallowed it. Praying for little Ellen.

Poor little Ellen! She was one of the highlights of my bridal portrait session. I hope that she gets better soon!

regina - i know - I'm glad she at least had a full stomach!

alyse - it breaks my heart too. Our emergency vet is actually our normal vet too - they just happen to be an after hours hospital as well. Ask your vet where there is one close to you if you had to go. Thanks for your prayers!

amanda - thanks, girl! We greatly appreciate it!

erin and phil - thanks guys - yep - I think God has got it under control. :)

jesse - me too- thanks for the well wishes!

Poor Ellen! I'm sure she'll be fine... dogs are amazingly tough and can survive just about anything. But you can borrow Molly for the next couple of days if you REALLY miss the annoying barking. ;-)

If you need to hear a dog barking, I can call and put Bud on the phone!!! I am praying that Ellen will make a quick recovery.

Oh no! I have two dogs that annoy me to no end sometimes. But if something were to happen to them, I too would wish they were still there to annoy me. Prayers sent up for Ellen!
