I was super excited to get an email from Jenn yesterday morning telling me that her and Brad's pictures were featured on the Rock n Roll Bride blog. Head over to check it out! :)

Ashley and Jason: Engaged!
Ashley and Jason are getting married! In Charleston! This August! And we're way beyond excited. :)
We were pretty excited for their engagement shoot too. :) When planning for the session I asked Ashley what her and Jason like to do for fun. She told me they like to go bike riding together - immediately, the wheels started turning. After a quick tweet and link to facebook asking if anyone had an old bike I could borrow, I hit the jackpot with the beauty you see below. And it turned out to be the perfect prop for Ashley and Jason....pink and all.
A very very very special thanks to Carolyn Shepard of Carolyn Shepard Design Group for lending us her bike for the shoot. If you are in need of a florist for your wedding, I STRONGLY suggest you check out Carolyn's work - because it's phenomenal. Truly, truly amazing work.

Ashley and Jason's engagement session....coming tomorrow! (and it may or may not involve the very pink bike featured below)

Lauren: Bridal Portrait
This past Saturday our good friends Lauren and Jon were married. I was utterly exhausted by the end of the day....mostly because of how emotional I was. And man...was it hot!
For now, here are Lauren's bridal portraits. Enjoy! :)

Brad and Jenn: Engaged!
"Are you cold? Cuz' this ice around my neck is freezing."
That's one of the first things I heard Brad say to the junk yard worker when we got there. That's all he had to say - Geoff and I liked him immediately.
We had already met Jenn at her consult.....so we already knew we liked her. But when she told me she wanted to start our shoot a junkyard, my complete and utter excitement about working with her for her wedding was confirmed. Brad and Jenn are a very creative couple. And our shoot for their engagement pictures was certainly that. And their wedding? Their wedding is truly going to be one of a kind....I can't believe I have to wait until OCTOBER for it to be here!
Now get ready for WAY too many pictures from their session.....I went a little crazy.
Yes, I made them stand on top of the cab of a truck for these shots. And I say....I say it was worth it.
a FAVORITE!
Oh my WORD, Jen. Your eyes are PIERCING.
another favorite.....and guess who got this shot? Geoff, of course. :)
We then headed over to the Rat's Nest in NoDa. Jenn and Brad are regulars there, so we had the hook up to shoot there. After an outfit change and a little stage setting in the backyard, we were in business.
We also shot some inside of Rat's Nest. It is SUCH a neat shop - definitely get yourself there to check it out.
Jenn's engagement ring is a black diamond - I have never seen anything like it.
Our last stop was at movie theatre escalators in the Epicentre uptown. Was a fun challenge to shoot with the lights that changed by the second.
Can't wait to see you guys again! Let's hit up The Penguin again for some fried pickles!
