Matt and Joy: Engaged!

We lucked out big time with this shoot - a couple of Sunday's ago we were scheduled to do Matt and Joy's engagement session. It was sunny and nice all day long and then of course, as we got into the car to meet them, it starts raining. We waited it out for a bit and then jumped out and prayed for the down pour to hold off. It actually turned out really pretty, as everything was wet and fresh feeling from the rain.

I am obsessed with this location this time of year. Joy really wanted to do the session when everything was in bloom - I'm glad we held out because everything was gorgeous. We started out in the little park near the Duke Mansion, but then just ended up walking the streets of the neighborhood.

Matt had Geoff and I cracking up the whole time. We can't wait to get on our plane to fly to Pittsburgh for their June wedding. They are getting married on Geoff's birthday, which is also just one day before our first wedding anniversary!
