Lauren and Jon are very dear friends to us. So dear, in fact, that Jon asked Geoff to be his best man. Since he would be out of commission for wedding day, my friend and fabulous photographer Amy Martin stepped in to fill Geoff's shoes by shooting with me. Thanks, Amy!!!
Lauren and I started the beautiful, rain-free day together at Alan Daniel's Salon with coffee. I just love spending time with Lauren - she's funny, thoughtful, patient, trustworthy, and so full of joy - generally just a great friend that everyone wants to be around. And on her wedding day - although a tad sick - she was so very happy.
When we arrived back at Lauren's parents house, we were received by one of my favorite dogs in the world - Beau, the Pomeranian. Kymm of Who's the Fairest did Lauren's makeup and is as obsessed with him as I am. :) Here she is with him below.
I loved Lauren's dress - compliments of Mecklenburg Bridal.
I should not allow myself to shoot friend's weddings anymore, as I was a total wreck as I attempted to shoot Lauren and her dad coming down the aisle and the look on Jon's face as he saw her for the first time. A WRECK, I tell you. Lauren and Jon were married at St. Patricks in Dilworth.
After the ceremony and family pictures, Amy and I met up with the bridal party uptown at the Green for pictures before heading over the their reception at The Westin. SO glad for the weather we had that day.
Before being announced into their reception I snagged them for a couple more shots inside The Westin.
Split Second Sound provided the DJ services for the evening.
The father daughter dance was probably the best I've ever seen - everyone was definitely entertained!
I love this shot of Jon and his mom dancing. :)
Hey now! Who's this hot guy?!
Congratulations, Lauren and Jon! Geoff and I love you both to pieces and are so-incredibly-from-the-bottom-of-our-hearts happy for you.
