Jessica and A.W. - Married - Birkdale Golf Club
I know they've been waiting and waiting and waiting very patiently to see their blog post - and here it is! Jessica and A.W. were married last month at the Huntersville Presbyterian Church. The reception was held at Birkdale Golf Club. And.....they went to SCOTLAND for their honeymoon! I studied abroad in Edinburgh for six months when I was a junior in college. When they told me they were going over there I was, I was jealous...WAY jealous! :)
Congratulations, A.W. and Jessica!

Melissa and Caleb
Remember Melissa and Caleb? They were the winners of our February Eye Candy Contest!
Prior to meeting them, Geoff and I were excited as we drove around downtown Durham scouting for locations. There's so much color and texture everywhere!
Melissa has her own photography business - check her out HERE!
Aren't her shoes amazing?!
Cool blue wall - score!

Coming this fall...
I had every intention to have the most productive day of my life today. However, after my workout this morning I wasn't feeling my best....I was actually feeling my worst. I went back to sleep on the couch for THREE hours. Ugh. Hopefully blogging will be the start of a productive rest of the day at least.
This past weekend was nice - it was our first Saturday in over two months that we didn't have a wedding. The break was much needed!
Prior to the bridal session we shot on Friday, we set up all of our new equipment we had received earlier in the week to test it out. I can't reveal exactly what we will be using it for YET....but it won't be used for studio portraiture - it will be for something MUCH more fun than that!

Back Track: The Blend
Because the past couple of months have been so busy with editing and blogging shoots and weddings, I haven't really taken any time to blog anything else. With that said, it's time for a back track....to March.
When we first started our business I quickly became aware of the vast number of workshops for photographers that exist out there. Knowing I wanted to attend one of these workshops was easy, as it was one of my goals for 2009. Deciding which to attend was more difficult. However, when I first found out about The Blend Workshop, I jumped at the opportunity. Before I knew it, I was on a plane to Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The Blend was split into three days with four different photographers - Jose Villa, Jesh de Rox, and Nate and Jacyln Kaiser of The Image is Found.
I actually didn't shoot very much while I was there, but thought I'd share what I have. Our group's first day was with Jose Villa - after lunch we all headed out for a shoot with our models who happen to be the VERY nice and VERY talented photographers Jeremy and Ashley Parsons. These two were actually two of my three roommates - I wish they lived here in Charlotte and that Geoff could meet them!
Here is Jose Villa starting things off -
Each of us have five minutes with Jeremy and Ashley to bring the magic.....while everyone else from our group watched - talk about pressure! :)
Not exactly in focus, but a favorite nonetheless. :)
And here is #3 of my three roommates - Bobbi! I bet she LOVES me for this photograph of her. :)
Another friend - Cristy Cross.
Back Track: My and Ellen's Birthday coming soon. :)
