June 20th was another blazing hot summer day. And it was the day that Geoff and I had the privilege of shooting Amy and John's wedding.
They were married at the First Presbyterian Church in uptown Charlotte, which is a seriously beautiful place. The bride's getting ready room is arguably one of the most beautiful parts of the church - which is always a plus for me to shoot!
After their ceremony we were bag piped to the Charlotte City Club for the reception. How awesome is that?!
Congratulations Amy and John - here's to many many many happy years ahead! Thank you for allowing us to capture the moments of your wedding day. :)
***Many thanks to our then intern - Erica - for third shooting with us!
Can I just tell you how much I LOVED her dress? I mean, like, a WHOLE lot. It was just stunning and looked perfect on Amy.
I wasn't with Amy and her sister while they got their hair and makeup done by Kymm with Who's the Fairest, but when they got to the church I asked...."So did you like Kymm?"
Their response?
"We LOVED Kymm."
I wasn't the least bit surprised. :)
Another side note - doesn't Amy have THE most beautiful hair? Oh yes, she DOES.
I love this shot Geoff got of John.
My jaw was on the floor over these flowers by The Blossom Shop - you know me and peonies....love em'. More than chocolate. Well, maybe that's pushing it a little.
Love the moments before Amy and her dad walked out into the sanctuary to meet John.
A favorite bridal party pic of all time...yes!
Can I just give a size HUGE shout out to the Charlotte City Club real quick? There are many many reasons why I think this venue (and the staff) is the jam....but a big one is due to their amazing...AMAZING crab cakes. I don't know what it is, but they are truly phenomenal crab cakes. I would eat them all day everyday if I could.
A chocolate fountain????......
....YES PLEASE! (provided by the City Club)
Split Second Sound rocked it out as the DJ.
