Ashley's Bridals - Charlotte Wedding Photographer

Man-oh-man, it's been an interesting week. After being sick with the flu while on vacation in California last week, Geoff managed to pick it up as well.....right in time for Ashley and Jason's wedding in Charleston, SC this past weekend. :/ He actually came down sick on Thursday, so by Saturday it wasn't as bad...yet still a hard day for him.

Geoff's sickness aside, the wedding was so so so great....can't wait to share more details in the coming weeks! For now, check out Ashley's bridal portraits. And, it has to be said - I am obsessed with Ashley's dress. Get this - it was made by Jason's mom!

Ashley wanted a natural setting for her portrait - but she also said that she trusted me and was up for something a little different - enter, lamp.

wow wow wow i love the shot of her from the back. that is amazing her husband's mom made her wedding dress. how ridiculously special! and that low V-back is to die for. i have a thing for fairly conservative wedding dresses from the front and plunging V-backs. i think it is my very second favorite style, and only second to the style of my own of course ;)

and the lamp idea came across very well. particularly because it's all white, as is she, in a very green natural background. it definitely is an attention catcher.

i can't wait to see where they were married in Charleston! most beautiful town, which i miss greatly.

The first shot makes me so, so happy. Also loving the lamp + table shots. She is gorgeous and I can't believe her mother-in-law made her dress! Talent!

P.S. The deleted comment was me - so sorry - posted from the wrong account.

Amazing dress and wonderful images, Cheyenne! I also have to say: "I love lamp." (for those of you who've watched Anchorman)

Thanks for all the great comments about the dress. I feel it must be made known however that Ashley designed this beautiful gown for herself. She did much of the sewing, pinning and pressing pleats, beading, etc. I'm thrilled to have this talented young lady as my daughter-in-law!

Corrine, you did a wonderful job on Ashley's dress. It looked beautiful on her. She made a beautiful bride. Not saying that just because she is my niece. Seriously just beautiful.
